Daimon Alexandrius Santa Maria is a self-taught illustrator, musician, puppeteer, songwriter, and dabbler in many things. He developed an interest in drawing and music from a very young age. Drawing with pencils since the age of five, Daimon's art stylings mimic several influences ranging from Stephen Gammel to Tex Avery. At the age of eighteen he chose to pursue photography and graphic design to help brand and promote many musicians and businesses in the New Jersey music and arts community while concentrating on his drawing skills as a sketch artist for the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office. Daimon became a certified police sketch artist in 2011 to assist in crime scene investigations and can draw suspect portraits from a witness description or from surveillance footage of insufficient quality.
To balance out the serious nature of his job, Daimon enjoys writing and illustrating stories while exploring music as a singer, songwriter, and musician. He plays a variety of instruments including flute,piano,sitar,and guitar. Daimon has received several nominations,accolades, and awards in Asbury Park and the metropolitan area for his musicianship and song writing. His vocal stylings have been compared to a variety of classic and progressive rock vocalists including Jon Anderson, Robert Plant, and Geddy Lee. Daimon currently fronts the psychedelic/progressive rock group Karmic Juggernaut who recently won the Independent Music Award for Top Funk Fusion Jam Album 2019. He also frequently writes and performs with his psych/pop duet Bone and Marrow who won Top Alternative Rock Band for 2015's Asbury Park Music Awards and have had their song "Let'em Look" adapted by the soul/pop outfit Remember Jones.
